It is Especially helpful for those struggling with obesity and other medical condition that stem from being overweight. But Because low-carb is also an high-fat diet, people tend to be sceptical about how healthy it is. In fact, people assume that because of the high-fat factor in this diet that you can suffer from high cholesterol and heart disease.
Throughout the years’ studies have shown that low-carb diets stand out above all the other diets. On a low-carb high-fat diet you will lose more weight than its low-fat competitor. So by banting, you will reduce the amount o visceral fat surrounding your organs along your chances of getting type 2 diabetes and heart disease!

Banting increases your (HDL) good cholesterol.
Wait there’s no such thing as good cholesterol, is there?
Yep, there is, and they are:
HDL – High-Density Lipoprotein
LDL – Low-Density Lipoprotein
These lipoproteins carry around cholesterol in your blood, Bad cholesterol (LDL) is carried from the liver to the rest of your body as were Good (HDL)cholesterol is carried away from the body to where it can be reused or removed. Eating healthy fat increases your HDL aka good cholesterol.

Triglycerides are fat molecules found in your bloodstream. When you eat your body converts any calories that it doesn’t need to use at that time into triglycerides and are then stored in fat cells. Your hormones released triglycerides for energy between meals.
High levels of triglyceride can cause heart disease especially in people with low levels of good cholesterol, elevated levels of bad cholesterol and even type 2 diabetes.
It reduces blood sugar and insulin levels

The fats that you consume and the fat that your body has stored over the year(s) from eating all those massive amounts of carbohydrates. Fat is incredibly filling you stay fuller for longer while your body uses the fat. Making you crave less because your body already has a perfectly good source of energy known as you guessed it, your fat reserve.
Having no appetite does not mean that you shouldn’t be eating. You should eat 2 to 3 meals that look a little like this: a nice Bacon and egg breakfast, salad for lunch and a little bit of protein and veg for dinner.
It reduces your blood pressure.
High blood pressure, linked with risk factors for heart disease, stroke, kidney failure, and many other health issues. So lowering your carbs will lower your blood pressure, reducing your chances of getting these common diseases.
